My name is Christina Huffman and I am one of the new Christian Family Bloggers. I thought I would take a few minutes to introduce myself.
My husband Joshua and I have been married for ten years. We met when we were just 18 and 19 years old through our church’s campus ministry. We were friends for several years before a romance ever blossomed. I am thankful for those years of friendship. It makes our marriage stronger.
Joshua and I have four children. their ages are 7, 5, 2 and almost 1. We are birth parents, foster parents and in one week, we will be adoptive parents. (YEAH!)
Joshua is a doctor in a small town here in Kentucky. He loves his patients and judging from the amount of candy he brought home this past Christmas, they love him too. I am a stay-at-home mom. I home school and I do some writing for my local newspaper. (And now this blog)
We live on a beautiful 12 acre farm. We are trying to get our Spring garden planted and we are trying to decide if we want to try our hand at chickens. As kids, we both grew up in the suburbs and always wanted to be farmers when we grew up. We are having a lot of fun!
I am so excited to start blogging. I have a lot of things on my heart that I want to share. I plan to talk about different family values, the roles of each family member, how families can grow together. I’ll share some of my favorite books with you and and probably a few of my favorite links as well. I hope that you all will share your thoughts with me too. We can learn a lot from each other.
Speaking of learning from each other, Lisa Kennedy will be writing here as well. She’s the other new Christian Families Blogger. I think you will really enjoy her.
