Quiznos has been really good about giving it’s customers coupons. They seem to do this periodically. Right now, they have coupons that will save you money when you try out their new lobster and seafood sub, or lobster and seafood salad. It goes with their “Loneliest Lobster” campaign.
I’ve written before about the coupons that Quiznos periodically offers. This time, the coupons are to encourage people to try out something new. Quiznos is known for it’s toasted subs. You can get your sub in one of three different sizes, depending on how big your appetite happens to be. They also have salads and soup. Many of their subs can be made into a salad, instead.
Quiznos has a live stream on their page that shows “The Loneliest Lobster”. It’s a somewhat amusing piece of advertising. It started with Larry The Lobster, all alone, in a lobster tank. He needed some friends, so he wouldn’t be so lonely. Each time a certain number of clicks are reached, Quiznos adds another lobster into the tank, to be friends with Larry. I think they are looking for suggestions of names for Larry’s friends. You can tune into the live stream and watch Larry and company crawl around. At the time I was writing this blog, there were a total of three lobsters in the tank, safe from ever ending up in one of Quiznos new lobster and seafood subs or salads.
You can save a lobster, and then save on lobster. Print out a coupon that will save you $1.00 off a regular Lobster & Seafood salad sub, or a regular Lobster & Seafood salad. Or, you can use the same coupon to get $2.00 off a large Lobster & Seafood salad sub. You have to choose between one and the other, and cannot use this coupon for both at the same time. This coupon will expire on March 28, 2011.
Personally, I think the lobster and seafood sub from Quiznos isn’t something that everyone will want to try. Some people just don’t like seafood, and won’t be tempted to try it, even with a coupon. Those that enjoy seafood might be tempted to give this a try, though. Subway, the biggest competitor with Quiznos, has had a seafood sub for quite some time now. I think the difference is that Quiznos has lobster in their seafood sub, while I think the Subway one has crab.
