Creating Keepsakes Video Gallery

Looking for new ideas to give your imagination a kick-start? Want tips on organization? Want to try a new technique? The Creating Keepsakes online video gallery maybe just the thing you need to gain a little scrapbooking education (for free!) from the comfort of your own home.

I just came across a nice collection of online scrapbooking videos on the Creating Keepsakes site.
The videos are divided in to three categories: demos, tips and how-tos. They are adding new videos on a continual basis. These videos are great for beginners because they cover basics like attaching ribbon to a layout, but more advanced scrapbookers can always learn something new. Besides, it can never hurt to review of some basics.

In the demos section of videos, my favorite video was with Lisa Bearnson, the founder of Creating Keepsakes. She was in her amazing scrapbook room and shows how she organizes all of her ribbon and fibers. She had great ideas on how to do it, some that I had never thought of. You will have to check out her video to learn more since I don’t want to give away her secrets.

Erin Lincoln did a video in the tips section on adhering ribbon. This would probably be considered a pretty basic technique, but I learned that you could use a glue stick to attach ribbon to a page. I have always used glue dots or my Xyron machine, but I am going to have to give my acid free glue stick a try.

The how-to videos teach the view new techniques. You may already be familiar with the technique, but you never know when you might pick up a new and useful tidbit of information. The topics covered include altered projects, Heidi Swapp Masks and create faux chipboard.

I recommend that you check out these fun and informational videos to help you expand your scrapbooking knowledge. Who knows, maybe you will find a new favorite technique or organizational idea.
