You hear about stay at home moms everyday. Stay at home dads are a lot harder to come by. So why isn’t there more stay at home fathers? Is it because they have the higher paying jobs, or because they couldn’t handle the responsibility being a stay at home parent?
I know a few stay at home dads that do an absolutely terrific job. The movie Daddy daycare however takes a humorous look at some guys who do a slightly less than perfect job.
In the movie two friends Phil and Charlie are advertising hot shots for a local firm. Sp consumed by their high paying high profile jobs they tend to neglect their fatherly duties and doesn’t spend as much time with their children as they should.
When Charlie and Phil loose their jobs they quickly start to run out of money. Since they can no longer afford to send their children to an upper-class daycare (the only daycare in town) they start to care for their children at home, like many parents today. Thinking that taking care of their own children isn’t that hard, the guys decide to try to take care of some other kids as well. If they can take care of their kids, what’s a few more?
So, two daddies who haven’t been spending a lot of time with their kids, running a daycare full of kids by themselves. I think every mom out there can see the many disasters in the making.
Daddy Daycare is chock full of potty humor, but still remains appropriate for children over the age of five. Moms will also probably get a kick out of watching the dads and the inventive ways they try to control the children in their daycare.
