Dads and Makeovers

There are few things that a little girl likes more than playing dress up and doing makeovers. How could any dad resist spending time with his little girl in this fun way? Just be absolutely sure that there is no one around who might snap a picture of you while you look a little, well, ridiculous.

Now if you are going to allow her to perform a make over on you, you can’t do this half heartedly. You might as well let her go the whole nine yards. Let her do the make up, let her mess up your hair, let her give you a fabulous new wardrobe, and do it all with a laugh and a smile.

You might be able to try many different looks. After all, there are lots of different styles that your daughter might try out on you. She might want to go for the princess look on you, or the fairy style for the spring. You could pull off the rock star look, so that you can rock out the show just like Hannah Montana. You could let her dress you up like a hippie, or like a school teacher. She might even create a new look that combines lots of different aspects of fashion altogether to morph you into the ultimate fashion diva. . .or um. . .divo.

It won’t really matter what she does to you. It won’t even matter if she has any fashion sense or not. It won’t even matter if your blouse clashes with your tiara, or your shoes. All that matters is that your little princess will have a wonderful time, and that you will certainly enjoy her infectious laughter, and the twinkle in her eye as she admires her handiwork on (in her eyes, the greatest fashion model in the world. You’ll be her fashion hero. Any paternal embarrassment will definitely be outweighed by her smile.

Just one last word of advice…

Make absolutely certain that you aren’t out of nail polish remover before you let her paint your nails. Have fun.
