Different Weddings for Different People

What is your ideal wedding? It may or may not have been the wedding you had for yourself. In fact, a lot of us can imagine what the perfect wedding would be and it’s usually based on our own personal experiences.

Some weddings are solemn.

Some weddings are musical.

Some weddings are filled with personal interactions, anecdotes and more.

What is great about wedding is that you can do so much with your wedding plans. You can have a traditional, religious ceremony; you can have a small wedding, you can have a large wedding – you can get married on a ship, in a theme park or even in a National Park (depending on their rules).

There’s a lot of information out there on the Internet and via wedding planners about the different types of weddings. Here are a few ideas for different types of weddings:

  • Destination Weddings – A wedding that invites the couple and their families to jet off to an exotic place for their wedding.
  • Theme Weddings – The idea behind a theme wedding is that you decide on a theme and everything about the wedding revolves around it. For example, a theme could be the ocean and you could use decorations that can create a fish bowl effect, bridesmaids may wear sea green and the cake may be done in seashells.
  • Cruise Ship Weddings – Imagine the romance of being married aboard ship. There is romanticism about the idea of being married by a captain aboard a large cruise ship. Carnival Cruise Lines offer such options.
  • Sunset Weddings – The twilight of the day, with the sun sinking into the horizon, offering a gorgeous orange, gold and red light is a fantastic backdrop for a wedding.
  • Beach Weddings – Want to get married on a beach, with your bare feet sinking into the warm sand? This is a very popular wedding idea, especially with the sound of the ocean waves offering an accompaniment.
  • Flight Weddings – This is one of my favorite ideas, imagine being married in flight on your way to the honeymoon destination or better yet – while in a balloon, hovering over a gorgeous landscape? Granted, the balloon wedding is likely to be a much smaller ceremony, but wow – what a memory!

What are some different weddings that you can think of? The list of possibilities is endless.
