Disney Pins: Special Easter Editions

Disney Pin collecting maintains a huge presence at the Disney theme parks and in the world of Disney collecting. Just about every film, theme park attraction, and holiday is represented by more than a couple of pins.

Easter is, of course, no exception. With the fanciful colors that represent the renewal of the world and Easter, it’s certainly no surprise that Disney’s 2006 Easter pins are a vibrant mix of pastels and hot pinks that will certainly stand out in your Disney pin collection.

Stitch, the mischievous character from Disney’s animated Lilo and Stitch, makes an appearance on not one, but two new pins to be introduced into the Disney pin collection. The first pin features Stitch painting easter eggs as he watches one of his creations sprout legs and walk away.

The second pin featuring Stitch is a spinner pin, meaning that a portion of the pin “spins.” The spinning portion of this pin, which is egg shaped and hanging just above its basket shaped container, features Stitch looking adorable with his easter egg loot.

Stitch isn’t the only character to be featured on a spinner pin this Easter. Tinkerbell also adorns an egg shaped spinner nestled just above an Easter basket. Looking demure and sweet, Tinkerbell’s egg background has an almost Fabrege-like appearance to it with its small, gold embossed design on a teal background.

easter pin surprise set

If you’d like a bit more to choose from than just Stitch and Tinkerbell this season, you’ll be forced to invest in the Easter Basket Surprise Pin Set. Unfortunately, in the process, you’ll have no idea which pins you’ll receive as each set includes only four pins. However, the choice is limited between Lilo & Stitch, Tinkerbell, the Cheshire Cat, Lady & the Tramp, Chip & Dale, Dopey & Grumpy, Jessica & Roger Rabbit, and Pluto. I’m quite fond of the egg shaped Cheshire Cat pin, myself.

Each pin is, as usual, numbered and limited. The Easter pin sets are available from disneyshopping.com through April 12, while the individual pins are limited to a run of 250.
