Don’t Waste Your Money on This Silly Gadget

I love to cook. I also love gadgets and appliances that can make preparing food a lot easier. However, sometimes I find myself looking through ads or on shelves at stores at some of the appliances for sale and I can’t help but saying, “Give me a break!” I am talking about those appliances that have one extremely specific function like making s’mores. I don’t know about you, but I don’t find myself thinking time after time, “Man, I could really go for some s’mores right about now. Too bad we don’t have a fire pit in the backyard.” And I never have thought, “Wouldn’t it be great if someone could make a gadget so that I could have s’mores anytime I wanted, inside the house where it’s nice and warm, and without an actual smelly campfire?”

Maybe you have thought these thoughts. If so, I guess that’s why this product exists. Though, I think it really exists so that when you are looking for a gift for “that girl who has everything” you see this on the shelf and you can exclaim: “Finally! She definitely doesn’t have one of these! No woman in her right mind would buy one for herself!”

Walmart sells a kid-friendly version of the s’mores maker. Maybe it’s made for kids whose parents are too worried about their children getting dirty to take them camping for real. The girl on the product’s box even has a bandana around her head as if to say, “It’s almost like camping, except without the dirty nature part.” This toy is made to look like a campfire for those poor children who will never see one. I thought that what made s’mores fun was that they were a treat that you could only have over an open campfire.

My opinion, don’t waste your money on any version of this silly gadget.
