Easy Easter Scrapping

When in doubt, buy, buy, buy. That’s my theory when it comes to last-minute scrapbooking. With Easter just a few days away my plan to create a holiday scrapbook for my mom is in serious jeopardy.

Here’s where I’m at: I was going to pen my own Easter poem and pair it with photos of my daughter and my mom during their last Easter together. I figured I could whip something up by looking at the photos for inspiration. Now I plan to buy a buy a poetry book and lift something from it.

I was going to make my own paper that featured lyrics from my mom’s favorite Easter hymns. Now that I am crunched for time I’m just going to buy Easter-themed scrapbook paper. Fortunately, there are dozens of options to choose from including ones that feature religious scenes and other that feature whimsical Easter designs.

Some of my favorite paper includes small graphics that form a patterned background. I found adorable paper with Easter bunnies carrying baskets filled with colorful eggs. Other paper options that are worth investing in include crosses and white lilies, floral print, and baby chicks that form a page border.

Depending on how much money you have to work with you could purchase more expensive Easter theme paper that features a graphic in the center of the page that is light enough to show off a penned-in note or poem. I saw a few of these paper options which featured praying hands, an angel, a lamb, a cross and a crown of thorns.

If you are really pressed for time, consider visiting online scrapbook supply companies that allow you to download designs. Or, you could simply purchase paper from reputable online retailers, such as Best Creation, Inc., which sells some fabulous glitter paper that can be used to cut-out Easter eggs that can be used as embellishments for your layouts. Karen Foster also has a litany of Easter paper in various designs.
