Is your bathroom boring? Is your kitchen looking a little drab? Could other areas of your home use a bit of a pick me up? Try some of these super simple ideas.
Stripes are Nice
You can add striped towels to your solid ones to add a little something in the bathroom. Place a striped towel beneath a solid colored hand towel on your rack. Pick a striped towel that includes the color of your solid towels. Then, to coordinate with the stripes, pick up some towels in the other color on the striped towel (if more than one color you can use them all if desired). Stack the different colored solid towels, alternating the colors to add to the striped effect. Roll up washcloths or hand towels in those colors and arrange them in a basket.
Quick Change
By making three quick changes in your bedroom, you can add interest in a matter of minutes. Add an accent rug, and using fabrics that coordinate with the rug, add a new window treatment and then accent pillows to the bed. If you use a color that contrasts with the existing pieces, it will make an impact.
Anytime, Anywhere
The best tip to change the look and feel of any space in the home is to treat the largest object in the space. If you can’t or don’t want to change the walls, ceiling, or the flooring, choose the largest piece of furniture. Throw a bright tablecloth over the kitchen table, add a new duvet cover to the bed, or use a slipcover on a large chair, loveseat, or sofa. If the floor needs help but you can’t do the whole thing, try inserting a area rug in a great color or interesting print.
