Fad Diets, Crash Diets: Take Three (The Cottage Cheese and Fruit Diet)

Fad diets will not help you to learn how to eat healthy on a daily basis. Fad diets will help you to lose weight for a quick “fix”, but you should not stay on a fad diet for more than a few days.

The Cottage Cheese and Fruit Diet is a good choice for fad dieters. Cottage cheese is a low-fat dairy product. Cottage cheese contains about 25 to 30 grams of protein. Fruit, of course, is rich in vitamins. The two combined are very healthy for you.

The Cottage Cheese and Fruit Diet consists of:

Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner: One serving of low fat cottage cheese and one serving of fruit, any type. If you like you can flavor your cottage cheese with a little cinnamon.

Simple, easy, and to the point. There is no cooking involved and very little clean up.

Fad diets are popular because they do help you to lose weight so quickly. They are also popular because your choices are eliminated. You know what you will be having for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There is no planning, there is no decision making involved.

People tend to get hung up on making decisions when dieting. They count their calories and have to think about how much each food item is and what they can eat in order to stay under their daily allotted caloric intake. When doing this they start to think that maybe one more cookie would not hurt and then they come up short on their allotment when dinnertime comes along.

If you are going to partake in fad diets at least choose healthy foods to do it with. I know a person who went on their own, thought up M&M diet. This was ridiculous because she allotted herself two small bags of those little candies a day. Definitely not a wise decision. Eat healthy, be smart, and exercise.
