If you are planning to take advantage of the incredible airfare to Hawaii you may be interested in this other deal. The Maui Ocean Center is featuring a new program that allows you to dive into the world of sea turtles through “Turtle Mania — A Honu Experience.”

The program consists of presentations on turtle biology and behavior. In addition, children can participate in a Sea Turtle Encounter, where kids 6 and older can help prepare meals for the turtles, assist in the feeding and learn what happens to the turtles when they are released to the ocean. Encounters include a lunch or afternoon snack at the aquarium’s restaurant. The cost for the Sea Turtle Encounter is $20 per person in addition to the regular admission.

Children can also participate in a “Totally Turtles Sleepover,” which includes a pizza party, pancake breakfast and souvenir photos. The sleepover is from 5:30 p.m. to 8 a.m. daily for students in the third to eighth grades. Price is $65 per child.
