Do you have a tool that you used almost every time you create a layout? There are things we all tend to reach for each time we scrapbook. Although we will never stray far from a paper trimmer, there are other things that we use that may change over time. Currently I have a few staple items that I can count on for most layouts. I’d like to share them here with you.

Fiskars Circle Punch. Have you tried one of these redesigned punches yet? Gone are the days of standing over the punch and putting all of you weight into the punch to have it work properly. Fiskars has this punch that you can easily squeeze the two handles together with one hand to create a clean punch every time. These come in several different shapes and sizes.

Heidi Swapp Jewels. Who doesn’t love a little shine and bling added onto their layouts? These Heidi Swapp jewels are self-adhesive so it makes application quick and easy. These make great photo corners, bullet points, pictures borders and so much more!

American Crafts Black Journaling Pen. This pen ink just glides onto the paper. I love the black pen because black coordinates with almost everything I do.

Patterned Paper. It is fun to keep a fresh stash of patterned paper circulating through my scrapbook room. The paper inspires me to do more work so that I can try out different colors and patterns. Some of my current paper is coming from American Crafts, Rusty Pickle, Basic Grey, Crate Paper and Making Memories.

Mask Alphabets. Heidi Swapp makes these great mask alphabets. They are the opposite of a stencil. My favorite part is that they are reusable. I love it when I can use a product several times – more value for my money.

Do you have items that you love to use on most of your layouts? I’d love to hear about them!
