Finding the Right Title

Do you struggle to come up with catchy titles for your scrapbook layouts?

Sometimes an amazing title will just pop into your mind while other times it seems nearly impossible to come up with a unique way to summarize yet another collection of birthday photos.

So what do you do when you suffer from title block?

Fortunately, there are a number of inspirational resources that are easily accessible, from the Internet to magazines, books to songs, even movies can serve as the brainchild for potential page titles.

If you are creating a theme scrapbook and want to title every page, then you might consider examining your shots. Often you can gain inspiration for a title by simply placing yourself back in the moment, be it a wedding, birthday or graduation ceremony.

For general themes, such as friendship or love, look at quotes and try to extract the best parts to come up with an appropriate page title. In the BFF scrapbook I got before jetting off to college, my pal came up with a variety of titles based on mementos and notes we shared throughout the years. Some of my favorite titles include:

*Old Friends Warm the Heart

*Partners in Crime

*Two Peas in a Pod

*Friends Make Every Day a Party

*Friends of a Feather… Shop Together

*A True Friend is a Priceless Treasure

*Best Friends are Like Old Quilts…Warm and Valuable

*Friends are the Chocolate Chips in the Cookie of Life

If you still can’t come up with a title that thrills, then ask yourself some questions that may spark some title ideas. For example, if you are making a BFF scrapbook think about how you met your pal and why her friendship is important to you. Or, think about what the most important thing your friend has taught you.

What are some of your favorite page titles?
