Fitness Gifts: My Sweet Valentine

Good morning gentlemen, are you looking for something sweet, practical and different to give your girl this Valentine’s Day? I’ve been doing some investigating, looking for something different, but altogether loving and in its own way, something sensuous. No, not lingerie – that’s a sweet gift, but that’s more for you than it is for her and I think we all know this.

So with this in mind, what would I recommend for a sweet fitness gift this Valentine’s Day?

Have You Heard of Doce Vida?

Doce Vida is a fitness label that offers some very sweet fitness clothing that is equal parts practical and sensuous. Their clothes are made from a Brazilian fabric called Airstretch. The fabric offers a 12% stretch and moisture wicking to keep you dry and cool. If you’re wondering why Doce Vida would make a great Valentine’s Day gift considering the fact that it’s fitness clothes?

Well, don’t look at them as being fitness clothes – look at them like a warm, supportive hug that wraps around the love of your life while she does what she enjoys. One of the neat features about these clothes is that each garment has a motivational tag sewn into it. The tags are random and one may say energetic, another may say adventurous and then there is peaceful, playful and more.

I like the idea that clothes can be inspirational. Oh and here’s a neat offer, if you want 20 percent off your first online purchase, use the code LAUNCH and let’s make your gift a frugal one.

The Drawbacks

There are always drawbacks when you look at clothing, Doce Vida’s largest size will fit a size 14 due to the stretch factor, but nothing larger. I could wish it would stretch to a 16 or an 18, so if your love is larger than a 14, this isn’t the ideal gift. But Doce Vida is Portugese for The Sweet Life. So for the size 14 woman and below, it’s a good idea. You might include other items in your sweet offering of fitness clothes – such as a heart shaped pedometer, a promise to join her on her daily walks and more as well as decaf flavored coffees and of course, a romantic setting to give it to her in. What can be more romantic than a pledge to get fit with her or to join her in her fitness goals?

I’ll grant you – this gift idea isn’t for everyone – but you’ll know if it is right for your lady – have a great weekend. What do you want to get your lady for Valentine’s Day?
