Other Upcoming movies to entice you to get a FREE popcorn:

X-Men 3: The Last Stand

If you are a fan (or even if you’re not!) of comic book-type films I highly recommend the X-Men movies. There truly is something for everyone in these stories—action, drama, romance! This is the third film in the series, and has been highly anticipate. Besides, you get to see the highly talented Hugh Jackman, performer extraordinaire. (He’s even got a few films based on his character “Wolverine” in the works!)

Cars

Another highly anticipated film from the multi-talented imaginative minds at Disney-Pixar (“Toy Story,” “A Bug’s Life,” “Monsters Inc.”), this is the story of Lightning McQueen, a cocky race car who must learn to respect others, and in the process learns the meaning of true friendship.

Akeelah and the Bee

This film has been making waves across the nation. Perfect for the whole family, it tells the story of a young African-American girl who dreams of making her way to the National Spelling Bee. In a time when our children are caught up in chat-speak and typing shortcuts, this film encourages the importance of education among students of all races and abilities. It is fun and educational, and the perfect summer family film.

The Lady in the Water

The latest film from M. Night Shyamalan, it is yet another highly anticipated film. Unlike his other popular films (including “The Sixth Sense,” “Unbreakable,” “Signs,” and “The Village”), this one promises to be what Shyamalan calls “a bedtime story.” Sounds intriguing, indeed!

Superman

It was bound to happen, but this remake will try its best to pay homage to the original Superman, the late Christopher Reeve. The clever Kevin Spacey co-stars as Lex Luthor.

Poseidon

A remake of the 1970s epic film “The Poseidon Adventure,” this action-packed adventure features Kurt Russell, Emmy Rossum (Christine in the recent film adaptation of “The Phantom of the Opera”), and others, trying to survive a capsized cruise ship. The effects are said to be outstanding, and many of the actors performed their own stunts, most of which took place underwater.
