Fun Find: KeepCup

A popular exercise method for moms is going on walks. Walking is easy, burns calories, and an activity you can share with your kids. My kids and I go on walks all the time. One thing I enjoy bringing with me on my walks is a cup. I especially loved bringing a hot tea on the morning walks but didn’t have an easy way to bring it. The thermos was huge and it did not fit right in the cup holder of my stroller. A cup of hot unsweetened tea could keep me walking to the park and back without realizing I just burned a sizable amount of calories. I know I may be a kid in that respect but I really like keeping something to drink on me. To that end I found a really cool way to bring my favorite drinks with me; the KeepCup.

The KeepCup is not a weight loss item. It does not even claim to be one. I just know I cannot be the only person out there that needs a travel cup for their walks and even a trip to the gym. I don’t care for Gatorade but I love tea. I also love coffee but that isn’t exactly weight loss fare. However, if you make your own coffee and lay low on the cream and sugar then you can enjoy a cup without the compromise. At any rate, the primary goal of KeepCup was to stop the use of paper cups and replace it with reusable cups. The KeepCup is the same size as the ones in your local coffee shop. The small sizes even fit under coffee machines.

But what do I like? I like that it keeps my tea at the perfect temperature. My favorite part is the design. You can design your own cup from size to the color of the cup, the top and even the plug, and the color of the band around the cup. How cool is that? Even my kids love this cup and have asked for their own. I just love how I get to take my unsweetened tea with me on walks, to the zoo, the part and where I want to go to stay active. Staying active is what it’s all about and items that help me do that are key. Even if it is a little way to indulge myself.
