I thought I would try something new. How about a photo challenge? I will post a few ideas…go out and try them out! Add them to your Mysite gallery, and post a comment with your link when you’re done!
For this challenge, pick one of these things…I will use recent topics as the basis for the challenge.
#1: Take some candid shots- Try capturing the moment! Catch a candid photo of someone, doing something. Try to capture the “essence” of what they are doing. A farmer plowing his fields, an accountant punching numbers, a baker kneading bread. There are a lot of options…find something unique and creative!
#2: Get UP CLOSE! Try taking some macro shots. A flower from your favorite flowering bush, a lizard in your back yard, an ant on a leaf, a water droplet on a window pane. Try to capture some little detail that tells us something about your life, that is so seemingly ordinary that it would likely be overlooked otherwise.
#3: Change your point of view! Taking pictures from a strange point of view, a different one from that which we normally see can make for an interesting, artistic, and striking photo. Give it a shot…these are always fun for “guess what that is!” photos too! Take a picture of something from a unique perspective.
Pick one, pick them all, whatever you like. My goal is to help expand your horizons as a photographer…to help you move outside of your ‘normal’ zone. Think outside the box (and outside of the LCD screen!). When you’ve taken your pictures, add them to your Mysite gallery, and post a comment letting us know what you did! I’m excited and can’t wait to see what you come up with! I will do some too, and share with you! Let’s get this blog hopping with participation!!!
