Get Your Dad a Free Father’s Day Breakfast at IKEA

breakfast Father’s Day is Sunday, June 19, 2011. Have you figured out how you are going to celebrate that day with your Dad? Many families enjoy a special meal together on Father’s Day. If you want to do something a little different, then take your dad to IKEA, and get him a free breakfast.

IKEA is an incredibly unique place to shop from. A lot of their furniture comes in pieces, which requires you to be industrious and learn how to put it together after you get home. Their products are named in Swedish, and, I don’t know about you, but that is not a language that I can read or understand. You can find rather inexpensive furniture at IKEA that is nicely designed, and that can be easily coordinated with other furniture items to create entire rooms. There are a lot of reasons why people like to shop from IKEA.

Personally, though, I would much rather shop from their website than visit an actual IKEA store. I’ve only been inside one at one particular location, so perhaps it was not representative of all IKEA stores, everywhere. I found it frustrating.

As a person who has absolutely no direction sense, I found it perplexing to be inside a store that was in a circle, but had several levels. The foreign names of products completely did not work with my dyslexia. I also found it annoying that so many people were bumping their shopping carts into me because they were too dazzled by the attractive displays of IKEA furniture to bother to watch where they were going. To me, the IKEA store is completely overwhelming.

The one feature of the IKEA store that I do enjoy is its restaurant. The enticing smell of Swedish meatballs floats through the air, and can be detected from anywhere in the store. You can get fifteen Swedish meatballs served with mashed potatoes, crème sauce, and lingonberries for just $3.99. I make sure and get that every time I have been in an IKEA restaurant, so I had very little idea of what else they serve from there.

Did you know that the IKEA restaurant serves breakfast? I would never have guessed that, but it is true. Bring your dad to IKEA on Father’s Day, June 19, 2011, and he can enjoy a free breakfast from the IKEA restaurant. You must arrive before 11 A.M., and each family can only get their Dad one free breakfast on that day.

The IKEA breakfast comes with fluffy scrambled eggs, a side of hash browns, and a side of two strips of bacon. It also comes with a free cup of coffee. I bet your Dad has never celebrated Father’s Day at the IKEA restaurant before!
