It is so hard to believe that October is here and that the year is almost over. I have no idea where the time goes. I set my goals and it seems that before I know it, I’m rushing to complete them, rather than taking my time to get them done.
If you are like most scrapbookers, you probably have a pile of planned layouts or several dozens of photographs that you would like to scrapbook before the end of the year. Or maybe you really are able to find the extra time and commitment that is necessary to get your layouts done.
When you are faced with the challenge of getting lots of layouts done in a time crunch, perhaps for a gift album or something similar, there are plenty of ways to get it done.
First organize all the supplies you plan to use for your project. Whether it is just a layout or a whole album of layouts, having all the supplies handy makes scrapbooking much easier. Be sure and coordinate everything you will need. It is easiest if you have it all together in a page protector with the photographs that go with it.
Second set aside time to work. Even a twenty minute block of time can get something done, if you use it wisely. Try multi tasking a bit too. If you don’t want to give up your favorite television show, bring your scrapbook stuff into the TV area and work on it while watching TV.
Third and my favorite tip, use sketches. There are dozens of resources out there for sketches for any number of photographs. Sketches allow you to accomplish pages quicker than just sitting and staring at all of your elements and figuring out where they could go.
You can get caught up, but you have to put it in your mind that you are going to do this, to make it work. Set time aside for scrapbooking, get inspiration ahead of time and plan, plan, plan.
