Pledging a sorority or fraternity is a major milestone in the lives of some college co-eds. In fact, there are a slew of Greek-themed scrapbook embellishments for those looking to craft a memory album dedicated to life as a sorority sister or fraternity brother.
With graduation season in full swing, many commencement-themed scrapbooks feature at least a few layouts spotlighting life as a Greek. Most are constructed by mixing formal portraits with informal photos reflecting the fun the graduate had bonding with his or her sisters or brothers. Page designs could also feature sorority of fraternity colors, crests, and letters, as well as mementos or awards earned as a Greek. If your graduate’s memorabilia is too bulky to display in a scrapbook, simply photograph it against a solid, contrasting background and feature the picture in the memory album. You could also photograph your graduate’s cap tassel and any honor cords or sashes, and display them in a similar fashion.
Depending on the colors of the graduate’s sorority of fraternity, you could coordinate paper, borders or frames in neutral tones, such as silver, gold, black, or beige. Alternatively, you could create a similar color scheme using your student’s school colors, and then use a sorority or fraternity’s color as an accent.
To round out the look of the layout, consider adding some inspirational quotes that will give a graduate food for thought as she moves on to the next chapter of her life. Some examples include:
