Great Deals on Fun Family Spring Break Activities

If you have a little slugger in your family he (or she) is guaranteed to go batty for the incredible spring training deals being offered by Florida’s Grapefruit League and Arizona’s Cactus League. Both baseball organizations are offering outstanding opportunities for your little ones to catch big-league action at a relatively small price. What’s more, if you are traveling from out-of-town to see these athletes in action, you can save on hotel accommodations too.

For example, Seralago Hotel & Suites (considered one of central Florida’s most affordable and family-friendly properties), is offering a spring training special to families who stay at least two nights between February 24 and April 2, 2009. For just $47 per night (in a standard room; kid’s suites run $66 and two-room suites cost $84) you’ll receive daily breakfast for two adults (plus, up to two kids eat free), a “Seralago Spring Training Sports Pack” (a lunch cooler filled with snacks and beverages), and a coupon for two hot dogs from the hotel’s food court. The only drawback to this deal is that tickets to the games are not included in the package price. Still, the deal is hard to beat considering the hotel is located just minutes from Walt Disney World and other Orlando attractions. If you opt to stay in the popular Kid’s Suites, your children will enjoy sleeping in colorful bunk beds, and have access to a TV, VCR, Nintendo, and CD player. The property also boasts three swimming pools, tennis, volleyball and basketball courts. In addition, all guests have access to the on-site video arcade, two playgrounds, and you can even take advantage of free nightly screenings of family movies in the hotel’s movie theater.

If you would rather hit the slopes than dig in the sand, then consider heading to the luxurious Broadmoor resort in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The property features an award-winning spa, fitness center and popular children’s programs. If you travel between March 1 and April 22, you can take advantage of “Spring Break at The Broadmoor” for just $85 per person based on double occupancy. Since kids stay free, a family can nab this deal for $170 a night in a standard room. The price includes accommodations plus a 15% discount on select spa services, complimentary access to The Broadmoor Movie Theater and a 50% discount on adult admission to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.
