Do you know about the grocery clearance deals at Target? If you do, you can save a lot of cash!
I love shopping the grocery clearance section at Target, partly because of the great deals, and partly because no one else seems to know about this little secret of the store. I can always find great deals and stock up for my family.
My local Target store is divided into two levels. The upper level has merchandise such as toys, kids clothes, electronics, seasonal stuff, etc. The lower floor has items such as lingerie, housewares and bedding. It also has a nice little grocery section, where you can buy things such as cereal, soda and snacks.
When thinking about clearance items in Target, you will probably head over to the clothing sections, especially the kids clothing. You might even take a look at the DVDs that are on sale. But, it is in that grocery section that you can find some pretty good clearance deals.
The clearance items, at least for my local Target store and generally hidden away on the far side of the grocery aisles, and if I didn’t stumble upon them one day, I would still be clueless about their existence. The clearance items may occupy one shelf or several, and they may not all be next to each other.
You can usually spot the clearance items by little red signs saying “clearance,” but that isn’t always the case. Sometimes the grocery clearance items are mixed in with regular items. The best way to spot them is by the red price tags.
Some of my recent purchases include large boxes of Incredibles cereal for 75 cents each, large boxes of All-Bran cereal for 80 cents each (this cereal is amazing for making into raisin bran muffins) and boxes and boxes of Spider-Man printed sandwich bags for a mere 22 cents each box.
