Heath’s Will and Esai Beats a Rap

Heath Ledger’s will was recently revealed and guess what? He hadn’t updated it since the birth of his daughter Matilda Rose. Let this be a lesson to you parents out there – update your will to include your kids. Heath’s will was filed in April 2003 and in it, he left everything he had to his parents and sister. Manhattan Surrogate Court papers show Heath had less than $145,000 in New York assets including his car, furniture, and fixtures.

However, Heath’s rep has come out saying that both Michelle and Matilda will be taken care of, as far as the will is concerned. That is, if there is much to be taken care of.

Two of Heath’s uncles, Mike and Haydn, have accused his father Kim of mismanaging their grandfather’s $2.5 million dollar estate and they are afraid he will be the same with Heath’s estate. They estimate that Heath’s actual worth was around $20 million.

Kim has denied any misdoings with this grandfather’s estate and has said that providing for Matilda is the family’s absolute priority. That has not stopped Heath’s uncles from advising Michelle to hire a lawyer.

Now on to news about actor Esai Morales. The news stories portrayed him as the “NYPD Blue” star, which is true, but right now, I think of him more as the military leader on “Jericho.” His former girlfriend, Elizabeth Mazzocchi, had accused him of raping her in April 2006. Even though she accused him of rape, she continued to live with him for months after the accusation.

Morales denied the rape occurred after Mazzocchi held a press conference with the details. She also filed suit against Morales in the Los Angeles County Superior Court for unspecified damages.

While her lawyer says that she stands behind her claims of rape, Morales has been cleared by the courts. The case of the alleged rape was dismissed due to lack of evidence. Morales’ lawyer said that his client was never questioned by the police and that there were never even any charges brought against him. Mazzocchi’s lawyer is hoping that new evidence will come out in the civil case.
