Hell Hath No Fury As TWO Women Scorned

Eddie Murphy may want to think twice before making enemies with any more former flames. Judging by the recent solidarity shown by ex-wife Nicole Murphy (mother to five of his children) and ex-girlfriend Melanie Brown (mother to his infant daughter), the actor may want to add extra security.

I’m kidding… about the security, but not about the recent bonding that has been going on between Murphy and Brown. The ladies recently lunched together at the paparazzi friendly Beverly Hills eatery the Ivy last week and were documented by at least 100 photographers exchanging kisses before departing. I don’t think it takes a genius to figure out what the two former Murphy love interests were chatting about. Joining the two women were daughters Angel Iris, Brown’s 4-month-old, and 5-year-old Bella Zahra, Murphy’s youngest child with Nicole.

The highly publicized meeting came just one day after Brown claimed Murphy had not paid one penny of child support. Then to add to the mix less than 24 hours after the lady’s luncheon Murphy went on the record (publicly speaking about the paternity of Angel for the first time) to refute Brown’s claims that he is a deadbeat dad (at least when it comes to financial matters). In a statement released by his rep on Friday, the actor said he “has paid child support to Ms. Brown as well as covering the expenses of her pregnancy.”

The statement continues: “Mr. Murphy and Ms. Brown dated very briefly and never made any plans of ANY sort,” although Brown insists that “this was a completely planned pregnancy.”

In May Brown told numerous media sources that she tried contacting Murphy but he refused to communicate with her and that he had not “seen his daughter” since she was born (and reportedly still hasn’t). Rather, Murphy has decided to move on with his life by proposing to his girlfriend Tracey Edmonds.

The situation makes you wonder what would happen if Murphy spurs Edmonds as well. Some how I think the mothers of the actor’s kids would make room in their ex’s club for one more. After all, the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
