Home School Blogger Spotlight: Naturally Educational

I am excited to bring to you Naturally Educational written by Candace Lindemann. Candace has a list of qualifying credentials in the world of education such as a BZ from Yale University and a M.Ed. from Harvard Graduate School of Education. She is also a published children’s author and an educational consultant and curriculum designer for companies like Leap Frog, Kaplan, Toobeez, American Specialty Toy Retailing Association and more. Through all her qualifications she maintains that parenting is a job best learned hands on and in the trenches. Candace is humble, caring and truly focused on designing and encouraging the best education has to offer for children. She believes that children learn naturally through exploration which is a concept I have adopted by as a homeschooling parent. Her blog is a true resource for education as opposed to schooling. As Mark Twain said, “I never let my schooling get in the way of my education.” It is hard to find a resource which epitomizes this thought so when you find one like Naturally Educational hang on tight and bookmark it.

Naturally Educational is a feast for the eyes. The blog is beautifully laid out and gets you excited to dive right in to all her wonderful content. This is a blog where content is truly king as her simple layout highlights her posts. The posts are filled with hands on projects which not only keep little hands busy but keep little minds busy as well. The posts contain the step by step creative and educational process of each project highlighting two the cutest little students imaginable. Those little faces will warm your hear with their smiles and inspire you to get creative with your own children. You will find wonderful projects from crafts to science with many correlating to the months of the year and holidays. One of my favorite features is how she organizes her blog according to grade level so you can easily find projects for your own children.

What I appreciate most about Naturally Educational is the emphasis on exploration. If you wondered how to provide your child with projects which inspire learning and spark imagination look no further! You will be amazed how a good solid day of play will teach more than your average workbook.
