Home Week in Review: September 10 – 16

I hope you’re enjoying your weekend. I know I plan on relaxing today. Even if you don’t plan on tackling too many chores today, you should find some of this week’s articles helpful for when you do need to get down to business.

This week kicked off with a Quick Trick for Extra Seating. You can bring those outdoor chairs inside and dress them up for instant extra seating. Another tip to go along with this article is to consider buying higher end outdoor furniture the next time you shop for such items, since the styles and quality available today can very well be used indoors too.

Mary Ann offered several lists to help us get organized with chores. Picking up where she left off last week, she began this week with Home Chore List: Daily Cleaning Chores (2) and by Wednesday had us doing Extra Credit. Throughout the week, the cleaning continued, with Home Chore List: Twice-Weekly Chores and Home Chore List: Weekly Cleaning Chores (1). We also learned about Organizing The Medicine Cabinet.

September 11, both Mary Ann and I offered articles to share our feelings concerning the poignant anniversary of 911. Mary Ann did a great job of sharing and offering hope in Towers of Blocks. I have begun to feel that our country is becoming too partisan, too divided, so I talked about The Day the United States once again became United. I hope we can become united again and work together toward our nation’s future.

We both mentioned Heather’s article on the same topic, so here it is in case you’d like to read it: Taking Back 911.

The rest of the articles this week in the Home Blog delved into autumn, beginning with Fall Decorating: Some Autumn Ideas and then Fall Decorating: Outdoor Décor. From there we went to Cool Weather: Indoor and Outdoor Tips for Cooler Months.

We wrapped up the week with Laundry Turning you Inside Out? which is actually about the opposite… turning your clothes inside out when washing, drying, ironing, and storing. Read on to learn more.

Thanks to all for giving Mary Ann a warm welcome and for continuing to visit!
