How Do I Get Rid of Stomach Fat?

Today’s blog will address a commonly asked question, “How do I get rid of stomach fat?”

While most of us might think its doing exercises like crunches, abdominal exercises really don’t help to flatten your stomach. They actually help to strengthen your core and back.

So just because you hear that a form of exercise is for the abdomen, don’t mistakenly believe it will tone the tummy area. Or don’t fall for some of the infomercials that spotlight exercise equipment which will “flatten your stomach in just one week.”

What a lot of people fail to realize is that the best exercise for losing stomach fat is cardiovascular workouts. At the very minimum, you should be doing cardio exercises three days a week for 30 minutes at a time.

Here are just some cardio exercises you might want to implement to help work on your tummy fat:

Brisk Walking

Running

Lunges

Squat Jumps

Kickboxing

Keep in mind that it’s not enough to do cardio to lose stomach fat. You can exercise every single day but if you don’t change your eating habits, it won’t get you very far.

It’s important to watch what you eat and only reward yourself once-in-a-while with a treat. Eating sweets or salty snacks every day will only set you back.

You should also be aware of emotional eating, which is an issue for many people. They turn to comfort foods when sad or angry. One of the best ways to deal with your emotions is to get them out with some vigorous exercise.

Instead of reaching for the bag of Doritos, turn on your favorite music and do some jumping jacks, running in place and other cardio exercises that will help burn calories and reduce stress. In the end you will feel much better physically and emotionally.
