How to Find Freebies

Freebies, free samples, free stuff, free things in the mail, however you want to call them can be a frugal person’s fun resource. If you want to learn how to get it free, read the following tips. Your mailbox, your belly and maybe even your wallet will be full in no time.

Free Food

Check with local and chain restaurants for free food items or free meals. Many places offer free kids meals on certain days, with or without a purchase. Chick-fil-a often has free food events, such as free sundaes or chicken sandwiches. Get on mailing lists to find out about these offers.

You can also get free food in the mail by signing up for samples. Free cereal, granola bars, candy and more has found its way to my mailbox. Items that can’t be sent in the mail, such as ice cream, can be gotten for free through a voucher sent in the mail or printed out, courtesy of the manufacturer.

Many grocery stores offer free samples for the taking. Trader Joes and BJs are two that I can think of off of the top of my head.

Free Holiday Stuff

For every holiday or major event that is upcoming, there are usually a bunch of free things associated with it. Take advantage of this to do a search engine search for the name of the holiday or event plus the word “freebies.” Just now, trying it out for Halloween, I found free Halloween fortune cookies, a monster Halloween house party kit, a jello mold, a bottle of lotion, pumpkin stencils, a Halloween PocketBac at Bath & Body Works, and a Disney dress rehearsal event with free gifts.

There were even more freebies available, but I gave up on my search after the ones I listed. Try it yourself and see what you can get. Christmas is coming up soon!
