I’m a Hair Hazard! (Pantene Samples)

Pantene - Fair UseI’m a Hair Hazard. At least, that’s what the quiz on the Pantene Restoratives website tells me. Yep, I’m dangerous – and not in the mysterious, exciting way. There’s an ugly photo of a 50% stripped hair cuticle next to a photo of healthy hair. Guess which one is closer to mine?

I used to have gorgeous, thick, flowing hair. People used to touch it all the time, comment on it, and compliment me on it. Then came children. The grey really isn’t the worst part. After all, those are strands of wisdom. Plus they can be covered with hair color. (I love you, Garnier!) No, the worst part is the slightly balding spot on the top. My hair is long, but I don’t think it weighs that much. It’s just thinning. Strange.

Not quite as strange is that where once I had thick, wavy locks, I now have Hair of the Northwest. Not quite Sasquatch, though some mornings I feel that way. It’s just this general frizz that seems to be unavoidable with our climate. It goes back to normal when I visit family in California. My girls inherited their dad’s hair; straight, plain, fine, Marsha-Brady hair. The son who did get my hair wears a Marine cut by choice. That should be a clue.

I’m looking forward to the free sample Pantene Pro is sending me. If it does what they claim, it will actually be worth their prices to buy a bottle. They’ll send you a sample of both the shampoo and conditioner of your choice. One per household, of course. I chose the Frizz Control shampoo and conditioner. If you could see me at this moment, you’d understand why. Weird Al doesn’t have anything on me!

So, go and take their quiz, then tell me that I’m not the only Health Hazard…er, Hair Hazard. Sign up for the free sample, and we can all strut around with the “Don’t Hate Me Because I’m Beautiful” look!
