Inventive and Useful Internet Products for Parents

With so many sites out there with parenting products its hard to find the sites that actually have products worth buying. So I scoured the Internet looking for sites with parenting products that are beneficial to parents and not something easily found in stores. These three sites were my top choices, because of their unique and useful products.

Child Behavior and Potty Training

The site www.WeBehave.com offers tools and resources to help your child improve their behavior, increase self-esteem, potty train, and items for those with special needs.

They have potty training products that help the process along including: toilet seats with kids favorite characters like Dora and Blues Clues, videos, toilet targets that boys can shoot, and other items.

For children with special needs the site offers books, videos, adaptive clothing, and more. “The items are designed to help these children and their siblings understand disabilities.”

The site offers a variety of behavior management systems some feature videos that “help kids manage issues like disagreements, friendship, handling emotions, discrimination, self-esteem and other life skills!”

Child Safety Signs

At this site, www.childsafety.com, parents can purchase signs that they can display while their child is playing outside to warn drivers to drive slowly
The signs say things like “Be alert for Children” or “Slow kids at play”
The site recommends only putting the sign out when your children are actually playing outside.

The site also sells fire safety items. Such as 2-story or 3-story escape ladders that can be used in case of fire. The ladders attach to most windows and expand when needed. They also have a vocal fire alarm that can record your voice with instructions for your children.

Inventive Products

Inventiveparent.com features unique and useful items invented by real parents. Many of them are things that I had wished for but could never find anywhere else. My favorites include:

Seatbelt snoozer – soft pillow like cover that fits over a seatbelt allowing an older child to rest their head and snooze.

Myself Belts – that fasten with Velcro so young children can easily do and undo the belt.

Crumb Chums – a bib that covers babies and toddlers from head to toe.

My Own Shower – a shower with a suction mount that diverts water from the grown-up shower to create a kid size shower.

Nightlight – this is a rechargeable nightlight that lasts 14 hours. You can carry it around and change the degree of glow by pushing the top button.

Rubber Play Set – rubber shaped pieces that can be laced, used with stacker pegs, and are large enough to be stepped on.
