The Sopranos Wrap It Up

Whether you are a Sopranos fan or not, you have probably heard the last episode, after a successful six season run on HBO, just aired. However, it did not go out with a bit bang, but an ambiguous ending that most fans seemed to hate. Almost 12 million watched the finale as mobster Tony Soprano’s show ended in gunfire, but with a few dull moments in a restaurant followed by a black screen and silence. I never even watched The Sopranos, but after seeing the ending on Youtube, even I was disappointed! Fans reacted, mostly with outrage. They hacked creator David Chase’s Wikipedia page in anger.

But, it seems at least one person was not surprised by the ending – Journey front man Steve Perry. The Journey song “Don’t Stop Believin” was featured during the last minutes of the show. But, he did not want the song featured if the show was going to end in a bloodbath. He had told Chase that he did not want the song remembered as a soundtrack of death. Only after Chase assured him that the ending would not be a deadly one did Perry allow the song to be used. But, Chase swore Perry to secrecy. Perry did not even tell his wife or family the secret ending.

Brittany Murphy’s Husband: Shady?

Brittany Murphy surprised everyone by announcing at the Kentucky Derby that she and fiancé Simon Monjack had secretly married after only four months of dating. What is more shocking is the tabloids assault on her new husband. Tabloids are reporting that producer Monjack is a conman who has swindled thousands of dollars from people through credit-card theft and fraud. They also say his U.S. work visa was about to be revoked and he was to be deported when the two married to keep him in the country. Brittany is lashing back; saying the reports of her husband’s shady activity is the work of a “crazy ex-assistant” or “crazy ex-girlfriend.”
