Kim Kardashian Endorsing Skechers Shape-Up Shoes

I have always been apprehensive about Skechers Shape-Up shoes and would really love to hear from those who have actually used them. Do they work? Do they really help you get toned? Well apparently Kim Kardashian thinks so as she has just signed onto a seven figure deal with the shoe company.

Set to begin in 2011, it is called the “Shaping Up with the Kardashians’ Challenge” and will include not only Kim Kardashian but her mom as well. It is apparently a competition-type challenge where Kim and her mom will workout using the Skechers Shape-Up athletic shoes.

So be prepared for lots of commercials to begin popping up on your television screen soon as we face the New Year and all of our resolutions to finally get in shape.

Now apparently Kim stands by them, indicating that they have already impacted her fitness routine. Her mom, Kris, says that she wears them as she makes her rounds on a daily basis and that even when she isn’t working out, she feels like she is by wearing them.

I’m not personally a Kardashian fan but they have enough of them that I anticipate the sales in Skechers Shape-Ups to spike. I have been on the fence about buying a pair since they came out. I have yet to personally hear from someone that they really help.

I guess I tend to be apprehensive about things that make getting in shape somewhat effortless. I even saw a commercial last night about some type of shirt that when you wear it, it helps to tone certain areas of your body. I’m not so sure about that.

I really do wish that getting in shape was so easy. However I am still not ready to toss the shoes out. Who knows…maybe that will be my Christmas present to myself.
