Last-Minute Cruise Sale

left

Spontaneous travelers, this is your lucky day.

Actually, make that a day and a half.

If you have the ability to pay for a cruise with little notice, you can score a heck of a deal to the tropics.

Princess Cruises is offering an amazing sale on voyages to popular warm weather destinations such as Hawaii, Tahiti, the Caribbean, Panama Canal and Australia. The promotion, dubbed, the “Endless Summer Sale,” runs through 11:59 p.m. PDT on September 24th and is available exclusively to residents of the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and Mexico. The itineraries need to be booked by Monday, but the actual sailings don’t depart until early 2013.

As part of the sale you can reserve an interior or ocean-view cabin on select cruises departing between January and May 2013 and receive up to $50 in on-board credit. Those booking balcony cabins or suites will get up to $100 per cabin credit.

Some sample sale fares include a seven-night Caribbean sailings starting at $749 per person for a balcony cabin. The original price was $1,099. You can also get an interior cabin for $499. It was priced at $699. In addition, 11-night Hawaii and Tahiti voyages start at $1,599 per person for a balcony cabin. The original price was $2,845. Interior cabins start at $999, down from $2,195. Another option is a 14-night Panama Canal trip for a reduced rate of $1,599 per person for a balcony cabin, reduced from $2,699. Interior cabins start at $999, down from $1,949.

If you prefer signing up for a theme voyage, consider MSC Cruises “Baseball Greats” sailings this winter in the Caribbean. The cruises will be headlined by well-known players such as Ken Griffey Sr., Jim Fregosi, Stan Bahnsen, Ed Herrmann and Larry Parrish.

The voyages depart from Fort Lauderdale and range from seven to 10 nights to Southern and Eastern Caribbean, as well as Antigua, Puerto Rico and the Bahamas. Fares start at $549 per person, based on double occupancy, if booked by September 30th.
