LDS Family Services Website

The other day, I was searching for some enlightenment, for someone I know is going through a hard time right now. I decided to hop onto LDS Family Services website to see what I could find that might be helpful. I found a fountain of information that I thought I had to share with others.

There are adoption services links, and addiction recovery links, but I was looking more for someone that I knew was struggling with emotional turmoil in their life. So, I went to counseling services. After clicking on that, I saw a link, Find help for your challenges and issues. I clicked on it. Below was a list of different topics that you could read articles on. They included the following:

Abuse
Adoption
Adversity
Anger Management
Anxiety and Fear
Blended (Step) Families
Caring for the Elderly
Communication
Conflict Resolution
Depression
Divorce
Eating Disorders
Family
Fatherhood
Grief and Loss
Homosexuality (Same-Sex Attraction)
Infertility
Marriage
Mental Health
Parenthood (Child Rearing, Teaching and Training)
Parenting (Discipline and Behavior Problems)
Peace
Pornography (sexual addiction)
Self-Esteem, Self-Worth
Single Parenting
Single-Adult Issues
Special Needs (Disabilities, Chronic Illness)
Stress Management
Substance Abuse
Suicide
Unwed Parents
Womanhood

Who doesn’t know someone that needs help in one of these areas? As members of the church, we have a wealth of information available to us on our church website. We can search a myriad of topics, and find some helpful information. But, what I loved about this website was that there were lots of issues like Suicide, and Anxiety, that we may not think to search for on the church website. Maybe someone you know is not ready to contact the LDS Family services office for help, but one of these articles might be helpful to them. And, since it is through the church, you know that everything is spiritually based, and uplifting. Recommend this information to someone in your life that may be struggling today.
