The Leap Frog Little Touch Leap Pad Library has over a dozen books from which to choose. Each book teaches your child something different, whether it is colors and shapes, ABCs, music, or animal sounds. Simply insert the cartridge for the book you want to read, place the book onto the Leap Pad, and press the On button. Choose your setting and you’re ready to go!
Some of the pages in the books have a picture of a light bulb. When you press that light bulb, your child is taught yet another lesson. Each book is filled with fun for your infant or toddler. The following descriptions are just from a few of the many titles available.
If I Were…
This story is about a little girl pretending she is different animals. It introduces animals and the sounds they make, colors, and some simple emotions. Some of the light bulbs in this book are for learning tempo, body parts, ways to move, and counting.
Let’s Get Busy, Baby
This book features infants and toddlers learning about everyday words. Many words that are considered “baby’s firsts” are featured in this book. There is also an option to turn the Spanish on so that your child can learn first words in Spanish. Body parts, clothes, moving words, foods, toys, emotions, musical instruments, and bedtime objects are named.
Stella Songbird
This book is about a little songbird who thinks that her tweet is not the right one for her. She goes on an adventure around the world to try and find a better tweet. Your child will learn about world music and sounds, animals, and a little bit of international culture. You can press the different instruments on each page to hear them named.
Guess How Much I Love You
This book is about Little Nutbrown Hare and Big Nutbrown Hare telling each other how much they love one another. It introduces emotions, instruments, and colors in the lessons on each page. With the instruments, you hear snippets of classical music. Some opposites are also taught in this book.
