Logitech Speaker System $35 after Rebate

My husband is a musician. He has a fantastic ear for melody. He also is easily annoyed by distortion. In order to hear things right, we have higher end speakers on everything from the television to the computer. They vary in quality from the BOSE dock for his iPod to the old-but-trusty Lansing Altechs on the kids’ computer. The Logitech system on my computer is in the middle. It’s a sufficiently excellent system that he’s able to listen without picking up errors. It’s of good quality.

There’s a similar system on sale right now at Amazon. Its list is ~$160. Amazon has it on sale for $75. Good deal. But not good enough. Add in an Amazon rebate of $20 to bring it down to $55. Excellent deal! But I’m frugal and want even more. Logitech is currently offering a $20 rebate as well. That brings the price down to $35 for a $160 system. Now THAT’S a deal. Especially since it qualifies for free shipping even if you’re not an Amazon prime member. The Logitech rebate requires the original UPC. Fortunately, the Amazon rebate only requires the packing slip.

This is not a BOSE-quality system, but it’s very good for the sound coming from your computer. We’ve had our Logitech speakers for four years now, under constant use, and they are just as good as the day we bought them. The Z-41s on sale have a sub-woofer built in, which means you’ll actually get the bass intended. This is especially good if you’re using the speakers for games that have a lot of power sounds, or for classical music that tends to build subtly.

The rebates are good through July 31, 2007. If you want to get them, I’d get in on the deal soon because I doubt it’ll come up this low again.
