Longest Celebrity Marriages

rose People joke about celebrity marriages being between two members of a different species rather than two members of the human race. In other words, one actual year of marriage can be translated into 10 celebrity marriage years, as if these people were dogs or cats.

Now granted, I am sure the pressure in a celebrity marriage must be astronomical. Everyone is focused on every little thing celebrities do, and I am sure things get misconstrued, leading to more problems. But every marriage has its weaknesses and its strengths, and celebrity, like anything else, might be able to pull two people together as well as break them apart.

Think some of the most common issues said to break up a marriage, such as money or the illness or death of a child. Might these things also create as stronger bond as you work together with your spouse to get through the crisis? Never having been a celebrity, I can’t tell you first hand of course. I’ll leave that to the celebrities in marriages that “made it.” (Interestingly enough, some of these long-lasting marriages were second or even third marriages for one or both parties.)
