Looking for my Waist: Two Steps Back

I worked hard last week, with my eating, that is. I ate lots of vegetables. Tons of fruit. I kept my sweets and carbs to a minimum. Yet, I gained weight again.

My husband says that this is a temporary setback. He says that I am eating too healthy to not lose weight. He says that my body will get used to it and the weight will begin to fall off. Then he made lasagna. However, it is so hard to continue to eat right when I see the number on the scale climbing. In addition to that, (although I did not measure) my waist is bigger. My pants certainly are tighter.

Yes, it could be bloating, or water weight. I certainly have been hormonal this past week. Regardless of the possible reasons or excuses, it all makes Andrea a very unhappy woman. My weight is back up to 250 pounds! Blech! (Sorry that is all you are getting, I cannot stand to measure myself this week)

OK, so I guess I should say something positive now. Do you know I have been carrying around my hoodia pops and weightloss chews for weeks and forgot to take them? Crazy. I did take them the last two days and saw a small improvement. I hope that I will not forget to take them again.

Meanwhile I will keep eating my fruits and vegetables without limit. I have been shopping more often to get the freshest vegetable, and buying less and less junk, even for the kids. I love to eat broccoli, cauliflower, lima beans, corn, cabbage, garlic, and so much more onions. I tolerate string beans, brussell sprouts, and collared greens. I like it all. I just have not eaten regularly because I was the only one who did not pick over my vegetables and throw it away. However, as I said last time, seeing me eat my vegetables made my kids dig in too.
