Low Cal Movie Night Popcorn

I was sent a recipe that I think would be fun to share. Everyone loves movie night! When you think of movie night what comes to mind? Other than Brad Pitt? Other than Johnny Depp? Popcorn! If you partake in the usual super buttered popcorn for a 2 hour movie you may not be able to move from your seat. Popcorn is naturally a low calorie option. You can eat quite a bit of it before you reach your serving size so it is popular among dieters. However, plain popcorn is also boring and dry. So, while you sit down to watch your favorite stars on the screen you may want to make a ton of this Low Cal Movie Night Popcorn to share with your family or friends. It does not disappoint on taste nor it will cause you to unbuckle your belt before the credits roll.

Low Cal Movie Night Popcorn

2 Tbsp. grated parmesan cheese

2 tsp. paprika

1/4 tsp. dried oregano

14 c. air-popped popcorn

Mix cheese, paprika, and oregano in a small bowl. Sprinkle over popcorn and toss.

Yields: 14 cups

Nutrition Data: (for 1 c. serving) 30 calories/0.5

While eating this popcorn you will find yourself thirsty. Do not break out the soda that will defeat the purpose of choosing a low calorie, non belt busting, popcorn. You may want to grab a bottle of Vitamin Water (one of my favorites) or make an agua fresca as I mentioned the other day. You will be refreshed which will tame your thirst so there is no need for soda. I know many of you will say that you will pair it with diet soda which is a notorious free food. I will cover my eyes and ears as you make that decision for yourself.

Disclosure: I was emailed the recipe so I do not know the original source.
