Low Fat Breakfast Recipes

Breakfast remains the most important meal of the day. Studies have proven over and over again that those who eat breakfast have a lower body fat than those who do not. It is vitally important that you eat breakfast for a successful weight loss routine and to be healthy. Here are three easy and delicious breakfast options that are low fat and good for you.

Breakfast Tacos

Ingredients

2 corn tortillas

1 tablespoon(s) salsa

2 tablespoon(s) shredded reduced-fat Cheddar cheese

1/2 cup(s) liquid egg substitute

Directions

Top tortillas with salsa and cheese . Heat in the microwave until the cheese is melted, about 30 seconds.

Meanwhile coat a small nonstick skillet with cooking spray. Heat over medium heat, add egg substitute and cook , stirring, until the eggs are cooked through, about 90 seconds. Divide the scrambled egg between the tacos.

French Toast

Ingredients

2 eggs

2 tbsp. skim milk

2 slice diet bread

Dash of artificial sweetener, cinnamon, and

nutmeg

12 small strawberries (sliced)

Directions

Beat egg, milk, spices and artificial sweetener. Dip sliced diet bread. Fry in a non-stick pan lightly coated with Pam. Top with strawberries.

Peach Crepes

Ingredients

2 eggs

1 peach

Equal

Cinnamon

Nutmeg

Directions

Chop peach into small pieces. Cook with Equal and
spices until tender and syrupy. Scramble eggs. Fry
in pan large enough to make a thin layer. After
cooked, add some of the peach mixture over the
top.

Omelette

Ingredients

2 large eggs

1/2 cup sliced mushrooms

1/2 zucchini (cut in thin strips)

Directions

Separate egg white and yolk. Beat whites until stiff, beat yolks until frothy. Add vegetables to yolks; fold whites into yolk mixture. Pour into a warm non-stick pan lightly coated with Pam. Cook over medium heat for 10 minutes. Remove to shallow baking dish and bake at 300 degrees for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
