Make a Picture Bingo Game

Cut out bingo cards from foam core, poster board, or cardboard. Measure and mark off squares. Instead of using B-I-N-G-O across the top, use pictures. Then, number the squares below each picture, taking care to make sure that no two cards are the same.

You can draw your own pictures or collect clip art or other images from one of your software programs. When you make a picture for one of your bingo cards, make an extra one and attach it to a shoebox or other container. Fill the box with numbered squares of paper so you can pull them to call during the game.

Use the remainder of the foam core or poster board to make bingo markers. These can be circles, squares, any other shape you like, or a combination of shapes.

Here are some ideas for your bingo cards:

  • Baseball themed cards
  • Basketball
  • Soccer
  • Football
  • Birthday bingo
  • Princess theme with jewels and crowns
  • Ballerina bingo or any other type of dance
  • Colors, using blocks of color or pictures associated with specific colors
  • Pets or wild animal theme
  • Road signs
  • Make copies of photos to create family bingo
  • School theme using pencils, crayons, scissors, paper, chalk
  • Favorite foods with pizza, fries, burgers, ice cream, tacos
  • Make pictures of favorite characters
  • Weather theme with sunshine, storm cloud, rain, lightning, wind
  • Nature bingo with trees, flowers, bees, ladybugs, spiders

This is a good project to do when your kids have friends over and need something to do. It’s also a good activity for birthday parties. You can offer a prize each time someone wins a game, or give a prize for whoever wins the most games. It’s also perfect for family fun night.
