Marriage: It’s Okay to Lose it…

Yep. It’s definitely okay. In fact, it’s a great idea to lose it… IF we’re talking about that old, drab flannel nightgown! What are you wearing? Those footsy pajamas were cute when you were eight and that flannel gown will work when you’re eighty. Those sweats are perfect for stretching and getting some exercise, but very few of these get-ups have any appeal for your husband.

Of course, nobody’s going to look like she stepped out of the Victoria’s Secret catalog all the time, and we need comfy stuff to wear, but most of us could also stand to inject a little more beauty, sensuality, femininity and sexiness into our lives. There are some very pretty pajamas and robes that are just as comfortable as those old sweats, but they sure do look a lot better.

You don’t have to go with corsets and garter belts. You don’t have to wear stilettos. Yet, choosing sleepwear that looks good will also make you feel good. Loungewear is nice. There’s nothing wrong with being comfortable when you’re relaxing, but why not look great at the same time?

This is a complaint that many men have. They see their beautiful wives in drab attire day after day, night after night. Also, we need to take note that when we walk around like that all the time, it’s much easier to let ourselves go in other ways. When we look in the mirror and see something beautiful, we have much more confidence and we’re more determined to take good care of ourselves.

Aside from sleepwear, our clothing also plays a role in how we feel. If you’re always in a t-shirt, sweats, and a ponytail, try something different. Take the time to fix your hair and put a little lip-gloss on. Pick up a few cute new tops. There are some great sales right now, so you don’t have to spend a lot of money and new clothes are usually a nice pick-me-up.

*It’s good for you and good for your marriage!
