Hunky Matthew McConaughey is going to be a daddy.
The actor announced the news on his website yesterday. And the lucky lady carrying the spawn of PEOPLE’s “Sexiest Man Alive 2005?” His current and equally gorgeous girlfriend Brazilian model Camila Alves.
In typical McConaughey style the actor posted this crunchy message online:
“My girlfriend Camila and I made a baby together. It’s 3 months growin in her womb and all looks healthy and lively so far. We are stoked and wowed by this miracle of creation and this gift from God, and so excited for the adventure that will come in raising this child, being mother and a father, and shepherding him or her through this life.”
McConaughey ended his message, “Wow, McConaughey.”
“Wow,” is right. The handsome actor who was once accused of bo-mancing Lance Armstrong is 38-years-old and as free spirited as they come. Meanwhile, Alves is a 24-year-old former model from Brazil whose family moved to California when she was a child. The pair has been dating for a little more than a year and recently they have been inseparable (now we know why). Alves has accompanied her man on movie sets around the world from Australia, where he filmed Fool’s Gold, to the Bahamas, where he shot the comedy Surfer Dude.
McConaughey’s pals say the actor was “euphoric” when he heard he was going to become a father. Following McConaughey’s online posting the actor’s rep told news reporters that his client “couldn’t be happier.”
Perhaps, McConaughey can toast his good news with actor David Spade.
According to TMZ.com, Spade is on the road to fatherhood too. Only the actor and former flame of Heather Locklear isn’t shouting the news from the rooftops like McConaughey.
Here’s why: Rumor has it Spade unknowingly impregnated Jillian Grace, a 22-year-old Playboy Playmate. Reports say Grace (Miss March 2005) is alleging that she had a relationship with the comedian and became pregnant as a result.
Spade’s reaction to the news: “I had a brief relationship with Jillian Grace. If it is true that I am the father of her child, then I will accept responsibility.”
Nothing like hearing that you are about to become a first time father from an entertainment website.
