Miley, Miley, Miley!

In case you didn’t know, teen Disney megastar Miley Cyrus turned 18 on November 23, but 2010 has not been the greatest of years for her.

Oh monetarily, Miley is rolling in the dough. Forbes listed her as #13 on their yearly Celebrity 100 and she made about 80 bazillion dollars this past year. Okay, that was an exaggeration, but this kid is everywhere – trust me, she is loaded.

Yet, 2010 has been rough on her personal life. First, TMZ released a video of Miley giving her The Last Song producer Adam Shankman a lap dance. Daddy Billy Ray defended her and then again, Shankman is 30 years old than her and gay. Still, I considered it inappropriate, but Miley fans stood fast on their love for her.

Then. there’s her relationship with The Last Song co-star Liam Hemsworth. They were on earlier this year, and then had split by August. They were seen back together shortly after that, but by November had split again.

Speaking of splits, her parents, Billy Ray and Tish, announced their split on October 26. Although Miley was almost 18, it still could not have been easy on her to see her parent’s marriage break up.

Could all of this be responsible for her latest behavior?

TMZ released a video two days ago of Miley smoking a bong. But, there is a unique twist to this story. Miley wasn’t smoking marijuana, but a natural herb called salvia. The “herb” has hallucinogenic effects like marijuana, but for the time being, it is legal in California where the video took place.

So, Miley didn’t do anything wrong, right? Well, maybe technically, but surely parents whose tweens and teens love Miley cannot be too happy.

In the video, Miley says she is having a “bad trip,” drops the f-bomb, and giggles. About the only thing she didn’t do on the video was talk about getting the munchies. Billy Ray said on Twitter, “Sorry guys. I had no idea. Just saw this stuff for the first time myself. Im so sad. There is much beyond my control right now.”

What do you think? It is okay because Miley is of legal age and the substance wasn’t illegal? Or is she headed down the Britney Spears/Lindsay Lohan path?
