Joining a monthly scrapbook kit club can be one of the easiest ways to try out new techniques, receive new products and get more scrapbooking done.
There are so many monthly scrapbook clubs out there, it’s important to research them all and figure out which one works best for you.
Most monthly kit clubs supply you with all the scrapbooking materials to create several layouts, although be careful, because some only have enough materials for one or two layouts. You need to be sure you check them out thoroughly.
The cost for a monthly kit can be anywhere from $9.99/month to around $49.95/month plus shipping and handling. Typically in a kit you get a wide variety of papers, embellishments and products that all coordinate and create beautiful layouts. Most clubs offer galleries and message boards on their websites so you can get inspired to use the products you receive in your kit. Many clubs also offer add on packs that include more great products that coordinate with each kit!
With some monthly kit clubs you can choose between two different kits each month, and other’s only offer one per month. Some will allow you to refuse a kit if you don’t want it, and other’s do not offer that option. Some monthly clubs are offered at the start of the month, and some don’t ship until mid-month.
With all the options out there, researching can be difficult. There are some websites dedicated to making this process easier. One being Willow Traders which I find to be the best site for making your choice.
Be sure and check out each monthly kit club that you are considering. Check to see how long they’ve been around, and ask other scrapbookers if they’ve been satisfied with their service. Also be sure and look at the photos most of them have of previous kits to see if they are your style or not.
