I did a search for “online photo printing services, and found some more services that I would like to let you know about. These are not services that I have used, but you can check them out for yourself and decide if they are worth pursuing.
The first one that I found was winkflash. They advertised 4 x 6 prints for 8 cents each ( on your first order, up to 75 prints), and 99 cent flat-rate shipping. They offer free software, free photo storage, photo sharing, postcards, and greeting cards, notecards, and a whole bunch of other cool stuff.
One thing that I noticed is that they offer poster prints, from 11 x 14 inches up to 44 x 66 inches. This is nice, but nowhere did I see anything about the quality needed in the original photo to produce such large prints. They did say in their FAQ section that the image quality needed to be at least 1600 x 1200 for a print 8 x 10 or larger (and in the pro section they suggested a 3070 x 3991 file size for 10 x 13 prints), but that would not produce an acceptable 44 x 66 print.
Overall, the site appeared to be very good, with lots of good frequently asked questions about everything from their free software to image quality and shipping.
Next is myPhotopipe.com, a service that caters more to the advanced amateur and the professional photographer, but would be fine for the beginner if they wanted to get some great reprints. The FAQ section is great, and the information on the site is very helpful. They even have an area where you can upload and showcase your photos. They offer 94 print options, too, so stop by and check them out for yourself.
