Making a spring break travel scrapbook is fairly simple. After all, it doesn’t take much to add photos and memorabilia to layouts. However, if you are looking for ways to make your pages pop, then consider the types of embellishments you use.
For example, for a beach-themed page, instead of using a slew of store-bought stamps and stickers for added effect, why not create an ocean and sand setting as a backdrop for favorite photos of your kids frolicking in the waves? You can use chalk to draw the water and sandpaper for the sand. Or, use fine art sand with liquid glue to create a sandy texture on your layout. For the sky, punch oval scallops from white paper, then add blue chalk or ink around the edges.
Another way to add drama and intrigue to your spring break scrapbook is to pepper the pages with a few well-chosen quotes. Fortunately, this is a relatively easy task, as the Internet is teeming with colorful, cute and captivating quotes that are ideal for spicing up ordinary vacation page designs.

One of my favorite travel sayings—“The more I traveled the more I realized that fear makes strangers of people who should be friends”—was something I heard Shirley MacLaine share on the Oprah Winfrey Show.
