My Huge Junk Drawers

I’m pretty organized most of the time. My junk drawer has cute little containers in it to keep everything confined, as do the drawers in the bathroom. I seem to have the little things under control, but the big things are growing.

I’m live in a house much bigger than we need. All of those rooms beckon to “things” and then once they are in there they seem to multiply. This is usually because when I go looking for something I can’t find it and have to buy another. No sooner do I use the new thing I bought, I find the old one, in one of those unused rooms.

Upstairs in my house there are three bedrooms, only two are being used. I was glad I had that extra bedroom because I wanted to remodel the master bedroom so I could move into one of the smaller rooms while the remodel was being done.

Since I am my own remodeling company the master bedroom has been torn apart for over a year. That’s ok, I’m not in a hurry. The problem is that now that has become the room I throw everything in.

I found beautiful oval mirror on a stand at a thrift store. I want to refinish it, it’s now in the torn apart master bedroom. So are some folding chairs, and all the gift boxes from Christmas that I didn’t put away.

Now in order to finish that room I have to clean everything out of it. I don’t even want to talk about the garage, it was clean, at one time, now, there’s barely room for my car.

Then there is the basement. My craft room is down there and since I like to upcycle things it is full of stuff I’m going to do something with, when I get around to it. Right now there is a path to the laundry room and another path to the sewing machine.

Looks like I have my work cut out for me. Once I get it organized I’ll tell you how I did it. Hopefully, it will stay that way!
