My Stress Busters

Having a home business can be a challenge. Stressful days will come and they will go. Yet, during the stress we sometimes cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel. I have found that the little things can alleviate stress and get me back on track. Stress is a part of life that cannot be avoided. So, it is all in how you handle it. Expect stress and be prepared to deal with it. While, a week vacation on a tropical island always sounds good to me, I found relief in the little things. I also find that taking a little five minute break before the stress boils over keeps the stress at bay.

My Stress Busters

YouTube: I will turn on YouTube to a favorite song or a baby laughing. That works every time.

Tea: I will brew my favorite tea in my favorite mug for a little relaxation. I’m a kid at heart so the favorite mug really helps me out.

Pictures: I love to look at pictures of my kids. So, I will hop over to Flickr and check out of my favorite albums for a few minutes.

Graphic Design: I love to make buttons, headers, and other fun images. I am not an expert and only use rudimentary tools. However, I always have a need to design an eBook or unit study cover. Working on that for a few minutes makes me smile.

Facebook: Be careful, Facebook can be a black hole. I will go over there update my status and read up on a few friends. However, I have to time myself.

Chocolate chips: This is really bad and I do not recommend it. I will grab a few dark chocolate chips from my baking cupboard and eat them.

My time: Since my husband gets up early for work, I am always the last one to get to bed. I am also a night owl. So, when I am feeling stressed, I remind myself that tonight I can sit down on my own. I normally gather up my planners and then ignore them while I watch a movie on Netflix. I often read but sometimes the vegging out in front of a movie is the only way to go.

What do you do?
